About Me

I’M LINDA LAMB

AND I'M DEEPLY PASSIONATE ABOUT EXPRESSING MYSELF THROUGH MY ART.

When you explore my paintings, you are seeing an intuitive expression of my personal journey, and an invitation to explore your own.

The beauty of abstract art is that what you see is fluid, and what you perceive is deeply dependent on your own state of mind, so that every time you glance, you see something different—another part of yourself.

Painting is just another way of keeping a diary.

~Pablo Picasso

Inspirations

I am a California-based abstract artist currently living in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, and I am deeply passionate about expressing myself through my art.

My influences are an amalgamation of the extraordinary visuals I encounter daily ~ whether it be the colors, rich textures, architectural forms, or the transforming beauty of nature, I absorb and collect inspiration from a vast landscape.

Sometimes contemplative, sometimes whimsical.…. all of my paintings are the intuitive expression of emotions that resonate from within and aim to translate those experiences onto canvas!  With each piece, I strive to capture moments of Joy and Gratitude — they are the threads that weave themselves through my creations!

Process

I may have a certain direction in mind as I begin a piece but find that the real magic is in letting go and allowing the piece to unfold fluidly, without expectation or projection.

The “happy mistakes”  and meanderings are all part of the creative journey and  are essential to each final piece — a poignant metaphor for life!

The adherence to “Wabi-Sabi”, the beauty of imperfection, is especially close to my heart as we all navigate uncertain times in our fragmented world.

I found I could say things with colors and shapes that I could not say any other way, things I had no words for.
~Georgia O’Keeffe

Gratitude

Most importantly, I am deeply grateful for all the many colorful Experiences and People that have been a part of my life and left indelible imprints on my soul.  Collectively, they are the ultimate source of my inspiration and creations.

While I create my artwork primarily as a Personal Journal, my hope is that they also bring others a spark of Joy!
